Woodlesford School, Church Street, LS26 9RD

Firstly, we are really looking forward to welcoming you to our fantastic new venue at Woodlesford Primary School.  We would like to make sure, all players, coaches and visitors stay safe whilst on our site so hopefully all the information provided here will ensure you have an enjoyable visit to our ground.

You may discuss any information provided in this document with any of our coaches.

Guidelines for all our visitors

  1. Car Parking: Woodlesford school does not allow on site car parking, under no circumstances should any cars drive on to the school site, doing so will sadly result in the termination of our contract. There is ample parking on the neighbouring streets, please be considerate to our neighbours and leave your vehicle in such a way as to not obstruct any driveways or pavements.

  1. Toilet Facilities: We sadly do not have access to the school toilet facilities at present, the nearest toilets can be located just down the road at Midland Hotel, Aberford Road, LS26 8LQ. If you purchase a drink they will allow you to use their facilities.

  1. Access to the Pitches: The pitch is located just around the back of the school and is accessed through the main school playground gates.

  1. Respect: Like most grassroots football clubs we are a strong believer in ‘Respect’ of everyone involved in Grassroots football, not least the referee. As a club we promote the use of young referee’s and give them the confidence to officiate games after passing their qualifications.  We ask that all visitors to our site respect the referee’s, young or old, male or female, without their willingness to officiate games we would not be able to play.  We ask that supporters of both teams encourage the efforts of both teams and act respectfully at all times, creating a fun and friendly atmosphere that encourages both teams players to perform the best they can do.

  1. Drink Bottles/Rubbish: Can we please ask that you kindly pick up any rubbish from the pitches and ensure they are taken home or put in the bins that can be found within the school. We really appreciate you adhering to this.

  1. Muddy Boots: After the game has finished, we would ask all players to change in to other footwear to prevent the playground and car park being covered in mud. The school are very strict that we leave the site in the same state we found this so your co-operation in keeping the playground and car park mud-free would be greatly appreciated.

  1. School Play Equipment: We only have access to the Football pitch areas, the climbing equipment and playground toys must not be used whilst on site, failure to follow these rules will result in our contract with the school being terminated. CCTV is in operation so please make sure all visitors stay to the football pitch area and do not stray to other parts of the school.

  1. Team Colours: Methley United AFC play all their home games in Red tops, black shorts and red socks.

  1. Dogs: As part of the contract with Woodlesford Primary School, dogs are not allowed on site at the school.

  1. Smoking: The School have a strict no smoking policy that all visitors to our sites refrain from all forms of smoking (including e-cigarettes and vaping), Methley United AFC fully supports the FA’s Smoke Free side lines campaign, to provide a safe, smoke free environment for players to enjoy their football.

Methley United AFC is unable to take any liability or responsibility for failure of managers, coaches, parents/carers and players to adhere to these regulations. Although we try and maintain the cleanliness of our toilet facilities, you use these at your own risk.

On behalf of everyone at Methley United AFC, we wish you a safe trip over and look forward to welcoming you soon.
